    ঈমানের প্রয়োজন সবার ও সবসময়ের। এছাড়া নাজাতের কোনো পথ নেই এবং পার্থিব শান্তি নিরাপত্তা ও কল্যাণের কোনো উপায় নেই। যুগে যুগে মানবজাতির সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ ও সর্বোত্তম অংশ নবী-রাসূলগণ আল্লাহর আদেশে মানব জাতিকে ঈমানের দিকে ডেকেছেন এবং তাঁদের ওয়ারিছ উত্তরসূরীগণও তাঁদের পদাঙ্ক অনুসরণ করেছেন। সবশেষে আখেরী নবী হয়রত মুহাম্মাদ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তাঁর উম্মতকে ঈমানের দিকে ডেকেছেন এবং ঈমানের সকল বিষয় স্পষ্ট ও বিস্তারিতভাবে বর্ণনা করে, শিখিয়ে, প্রতিষ্ঠিত করে দুনিয়ার জীবন থেকে বিদায় নিয়েছেন। সুতরাং মানবের ইসলাহ ও সংশোধনের এই পথই নির্ভুল পথ।

    ঈমান এক বৃক্ষ, যার শিকড় মাটির অতি গভীরে আর শাখা-প্রশাখা আকাশের উচ্চতায়। ঈমান-বৃক্ষের শিকড় হচ্ছে তাওহীদ ও রিসালাতের বিশ্বাস ও সাক্ষ্য, যা ছাড়া নাজাতের কোনো উপায় নেই এবং যা ছাড়া কোনো সৎকর্মের কোনো মূল্য আল্লাহর কাছে নেই। দ্বীনের ‘জরুরিয়াত’ ও সর্বজনবিদিত বিষয়সমূহ মেনে নেওয়া এই পর্যায়েরই বিষয়।

    ঈমানের এক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অঙ্গন তাকওয়া ও খোদাভীতি। আল্লাহর ভয় ও আখিরাতে জবাবদিহিতার অনুভ‚তি হচ্ছে ঐ বিষয় যা মানুষকে অন্যায় ও পাপাচার থেকে দূরে রাখে এবং হক আদায়ে ও কর্তব্য পালনে বাধ্য করে। তাকওয়া ও খোদাভীতি সম্পন্ন হৃদয়ে জাগে আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি-অসন্তুষ্টি সম্পর্কে জানার আগ্রহ এবং করণীয় ও বর্জনীয়ের অনুসন্ধিৎসা। এমন হৃদয় ও মস্তিষ্কের জন্যই কুরআন হয় হেদায়েত ও পথপ্রদর্শক। আর এদেরই জন্য আল্লাহর রাসূল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসল্লাম হন উসওয়া ও আদর্শ।

    ঈমানের এক অঙ্গন, আল্লাহ তাআলার মারিফাত এবং তাঁর সিফাত ও গুণাবলীর ইলম ও ইয়াকীন। এই ইলম ও মারিফাত তথা জ্ঞান ও প্রজ্ঞা তাকওয়া ও খোদাভীতির সাথে গভীরভাবে জড়িত। একারণে আল্লাহ সম্পর্কে যার ইলম যত গভীর ও পূর্ণাঙ্গ তাকওয়া ও খোদাভীতির ক্ষেত্রেও তিনি ততই সচেতন ও অগ্রসর।

    ঈমানের আরেক দিক, কর্ম ও আচরণ। ঈমান শুধু জ্ঞানগত ও বিশ্বাসগত বিষয়ের মধ্যেই সীমাবদ্ধ নয়। মানুষের কর্ম ও আচরণের গোটা অঙ্গনেই পরিব্যাপ্ত। বিশ্বাস যদি হয় ঈমানের মূল তাহলে কর্ম ও আচরণ তারই শাখা-প্রশাখা। সুতরাং পূর্ণাঙ্গ মুমিন তিনি যার জীবন ও কর্মের সকল অঙ্গনে রয়েছে ঈমান ও বিশ্বাসের প্রতিফলন।

    ঈমানের এই নানা মাত্রা থেকে অনুমান করা যেতে পারে, ঈমান প্রসঙ্গটি কত বিস্তৃত আর ঈমানী মেহনতের ক্ষেত্র কত বিশাল। এ থেকে আরো বোঝা যায়, ঈমানের সাথে আকীদার, আহকামের, ইলমের, তালীমের, তাযকিয়ার, তারবিয়াতের, আমর বিল মারূফ ও নাহি আনিল মুনকারের কত গভীর সম্পর্ক।

    সুতরাং ঈমানী চেতনা ও ঈমানী জীবন যাপনের আগ্রহের পাশাপাশি আকীদা-বিশ্বাসের দুরস্তি, জরুরিয়াতে দ্বীনের হেফাযত, তাওহীদ ও তাওয়াক্কুল, ইয়াকীন ও ইনাবত ইলাল্লাহর এবং কলব ও হৃদয়ের ঈমানী গুণাবলী সংক্রান্ত সকল মেহনত ঈমানী মেহনতের শামিল। তদ্রূপ ঈমানের জীবন-বিস্তৃত শাখা-প্রশাখার প্রচার ও প্রতিষ্ঠা, এসংক্রান্ত জ্ঞানার্জন ও জ্ঞান-বিতরণ এবং বাস্তব জীবনে তার প্রয়োগ ও অনুশীলন- এই সবই ঈমানী মেহনতের একেক দিক। আর এই সকল মেহনতের প্রথম পাত্র ও কর্মক্ষেত্র হচ্ছে ব্যক্তির আপন সত্তা, আপন পরিবার-পরিজন, আত্মীয়-স্বজন, পাড়া-পড়শি, সংশ্লিষ্টজন এবং পর্যায়ক্রমে সকল মুসলিম ও সকল শ্রেণির সকল মানুষ। তাহলে একথা বলাই বাহুল্য যে, ঈমানী মেহনত বিশেষ একটি অঙ্গনের কাজের বিশেষ একটি পদ্ধতির মধ্যে সীমাবদ্ধ নয়। আর শুধু এর দ্বারা ঈমানী মেহনতের যে ব্যাপক কর্মক্ষেত্র তার দাবিও পূরণ হতে পারে না।

    ঈমানের সাথে সংশ্লিষ্ট সবগুলো অঙ্গনের কাজ এবং শরীয়ত সম্মত সবগুলো পদ্ধতির কাজ ঈমানী মেহনতের শামিল। একারণে সকল অঙ্গনের কর্মীদের কর্তব্য, নিজ নিজ অঙ্গনের কাজে নিবেদিতপ্রাণ হওয়া, অন্যদিকে ঈমানী মেহনতের বিস্তৃত অঙ্গনসমূহের ব্যাপারেও সচেতন থাকা। তাহলে একে অপরের কর্মের স্বীকৃতি ও সহযোগিতা সহজ হয়। আমাদের পূর্বসূরী প্রজ্ঞাবান দায়ীগণের নীতি এটিই ছিল যে, ‘সহযোগী হও, প্রতিপক্ষ হয়ো না।’ আর এ তো কুরআনী নির্দেশ- (তরজমা) ‘তোমরা নেককাজ ও খোদাভীতির পথে একে অন্যের সহযোগিতা কর, গুনাহ ও সীমালঙ্ঘনের ক্ষেত্রে পরষ্পর সহযোগিতা করো না।’

    সুতরাং আসুন, ঈমান শিখি, ঈমান শেখাই এবং ঈমানী মেহনতে একে অন্যের সহযোগী হই। আল্লাহ তাআলা তাওফীক দান করুন ও কবুল করুন। আমীন।
